The White Trash Revival Episode #0032

The White Trash Revival
Episode #0032

The White Trash Revival episode 32 featuring “Pete Berwick”.  Pete is a hillbilly’s paradise with an interview with him and an album review of Hellbound Glory’s new disc “Old High and New Low”.   Not to mention music by Dog Bite Harris, Lucas Hudgins, The Defibulators, The Whopner County Country All-Stars, The Tenderloin Trio, Pete Berwick, The Acheson Family, Nick Krause and his Austin Torpedoes, 13 to the Gallows, and Hellbound Glory. This episode is the greatest thing next to a case of P.B.R. and a tri-state crime spree with Aunt Penny the diesel mechanic.

The Hank in Chains Show Episode #0034 (02/17/2010)

The Hank in Chains Show
Episode #0033 (02/03/2009)

On February 17th, The Hank in Chains Show returns on its new home, Ustream.tv! In addition to the great music from all genres that you’ve come to expect, the first Ustream episode of the show will focus the music of Warren Zevon. It isn’t the first time we’ve featured Zevon, and it certainly will not the last. This time, we will be taking a look at a few different styles and themes of the sadly underrated late singer/songwriter who was far more than “Werewolves of London”. Make sure to be a part of the show’s new era and tune in!

Other music this week from: John Lennon, Porter Wagoner, Dana Fuchs, Led Zeppelin, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The White Stripes, Robbie Fulks, Steve Earle, Hank Williams III, Split Lip Rayfield, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, and BR5-49.

The White Trash Revival Episode #0031

The White Trash Revival
Episode #0031

An interview and songs by the very talented James Hunnicutt or THEE James Hunnicutt as I like to call him. Music by Cotton Jackson, Peter Head and the Pitchfork Militia, The Skeeballs, Robert Lovett, Quarter Mile Combo, Slakjaw,Land of Blood and Sunshine, and Livestock Davies and the Lowdown Snakes. A CD review for the band D.B. Cooper and the Hard Cash Band “Down the Same Damn Road” not to mention a couple of tracks off that CD. Not to much vulgarities due to me being stoked and a tad bit nervous getting the opportunity to interview someone of James’ talent. Oh and not to mention I was buzzing off of a “Hillbilly Hoodrat” (my special concoction of 24oz. of colt 45 and 24oz. of Pabst Blue Ribbon) y’all should try it.

Bootleg Asylum Radio Show

“It’s ALL Gained”

This week on the show I feature the music of Robert Cady. “A person who never makes mistakes, never makes anything”,  says Robert Cady, “I’ll go into this further sometime because I’m tired of explaining my whole shit to people. I’d rather just post it.  I had it in the ”about me” part of MySpace, but people said it wasn’t too ”MySpace friendly” so I took it down. Whenever I would tell the radio stations or internet radio shows people that wanted to play my music, they totally dug it and understood what drives me on this music. Rock ‘n roll isn’t supposed to be pretty; it’s just supposed to rock. And I’m not ashamed of shit.  And have no regrets. I’m over it. If I fucked up on the way, I fuckin learned. And I’ll take any knowledge I can gain any way I can get it.”

Other artists on this weeks Bootleg Asylum Radio Show include: F5, Hank Williams IIIDeanna Johnston, Texas Rifles, Chris Walker, W.A.S.P., Dave Hole, Godsmack, Toys In The Forest, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, Led Zepplin, Motorhead, and more.

From now on the Bootleg Asylum Radio Show, Onemorename will be mostly taken all requests from you! If needed, I will fill in some of the requests. Send all requests to my email (Howard@section86.com) or Myspace Page in a comment/message during the week and I will play all requests!

The Hank in Chains Show Episode #0033 (02/03/2010)

The Hank in Chains Show
Episode #0033 (02/03/2009)

The sad news was delivered last week… Flapdaddy.com is shutting down for good. The good news though is that this week’s episode of The Hank in Chains Show will ensure that the site will go out with a bang. The final Flapdaddy.com episode will feature the solo music of the Quiet Beatle, George Harrison. While he was forced to take a backseat to John Lennon and Paul McCartney when the Fab Four was taking the world by storm, Harrison would prove that his solo sound was equal, or even better, than that of his more famous bandmates until his death in 2001.

Other music this week from: Bruce Springsteen, Hank Williams, Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers, Meat Puppets, Dropkick Murphys, Drive-By Truckers, Johnny Cash, Mad Season, Robbie Fulks, Screaming Trees, and Mark Huff.

The Hank in Chains Show Episode #0032 (01/27/2010)

The Hank in Chains Show
Episode #0032 (01/27/2009)

This week on The Hank in Chains Show, we will feature Ray Wylie Hubbard‘s new album “A. Enlightenment B. Endarkenment”. While he has achieved much fame in the world of mainstream music, Hubbard, a Texas legend, has been writing outstanding songs for decades, and the new release lives up to his legacy. With a country sound fused with a heavy dose of blues and Hubbard’s as usual brilliant lyricism, “A. Enlightenment B. Endarkenment” is a must hear record.

Other music this week from: John Fogerty, Nirvana, James Hand, Dinosaur Jr., Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Clutch, Warren Zevon, The Dead Weather, The Reverend Horton Heat, Joey Allcorn, Bob Dylan, and Chris Scruggs.

“Past Interviews Then, Aired Almost Now”

This week I am featuring 2 interviews that I had back in the fall of 2007 before I started Podcasting my shows. Interview #1 is with Jim “Dandy” Mangrum from the band Black Oak Arkansas. Black Oak Arkansas is an American Southern rock band named after the band’s hometown of Black Oak, Arkansas. The band reached the height of its fame in the 1970s with ten charting albums released in that decade. Their style is punctuated by multiple guitar players and the raspy voice and on-stage antics of vocalist Jim “Dandy” Mangrum.

Interview #2 is with Joe Buck. Joe Buck is the pseudonym of Jim Finkley, an American country and rockabilly musician from Murray, Kentucky. As a solo artist, he is a one-man band called Joe Buck Yourself. His first claim to fame was as the guitarist for The Legendary Shack Shakers. He played all guitar, bass and drums on their 2003 album Cockadoodledon’t. He played bass for Hank Williams III‘s country/hellbilly “Damn Band” and Assjack. He is credited, along with Williams and Andy Gibson, with engineering and producing Williams’ album, Straight to Hell.

Other artists on this weeks Bootleg Asylum Radio Show include: KritiKal Limit, Stoned Age, Hallows Eve, Rustbelt Homewreckers, Decent Into Madness, Chrome Division, Bad Season, Shinedown, Pantera, Reverend Horton Heat, Jesus Wept, Gin Palace Jesters, Mountain, Heaven and Hell, and more.
