Off the Mark Episode #0224

Bound for Glory is going over seas and this could make or break TNA.  Josh Matthews is released.  Emma is released and then rehired 3 hours later.  We have the reasons for it all.   On WWE programming this week, Money in the Bank turns out to be a very good PPV.  Rollins and Cena both win big!  On the BEST Raw of the Year, Swagger turns face for now.  AJ, the Miz, and Jericho all return as well!  Did I mention Emma getting rehired?  On Impact Wrestling this week, Rhino return and Eric Young gets his rematch for the title.  As always be sure to follow the show @OfftheMark86, Andrew Hughes @ahughes86, and Aaron Hughes @aphughes. It Burns When I Pee Episode #0140 “Finding A Founding Father”

Happy 4th of July everyone! This episode launches our new format. Keeping the shows at 60 minutes or less (based off feedback from the IBWIP 2014 survey). In this episode we play music from Drunken Cuddle, Shot to Hell, and Charlie and the Foxtrots. Blake rants about the World Cup again and we also conjure the spirit of our founding father George Washington. We dive deep into some interesting stuff about his life. Mollz also reads some news articles about tents, Super Nanny, and Eminem.

Off the Mark Episode #0223

How weird is Stardust?  We discuss our thoughts on the character.  We also discuss Ring of Honor’s “Best in the World” pay-per-view.   On WWE programming this week, Sandow gets buried and no one cares.  All the Money in the Bank participants are announced and Kane gets added to the World Heavyweight Ladder Match.  Did I mention there is a Pay-Per-View this Sunday?  On Impact Wrestling this week, MVP is no longer the Director of Operations and Storm wins big.  For our weekly topic, Aaron discusses his Top 5 US and IC titleholders that should not have won it.  As always be sure to follow the show @OfftheMark86, Andrew Hughes @ahughes86, and Aaron Hughes @aphughes. Off the Mark Episode #0222

The ROH “Best in the World” PPV is this Sunday and we discuss our thoughts on it.  The WWE releases 12 performers and non performers and we discuss a few of them.  WWE is also removing the production staffs’ bus.  On WWE programming this week, Cena overcomes the odds and defeats Kane; CLEAN.  The MITB title contest is set and Seth Rollins announces a second MITB ladder contest on Main Event.  On Impact Wrestling this week, Slammiversary has come and gone and we discuss our thoughts about the PPV.  Impact was semi-LIVE this week.  Eric Young and the Wolves defend their titles, but do they retain?  As always be sure to follow the show @OfftheMark86, Andrew Hughes @ahughes86, and Aaron Hughes @aphughes. It Burns When I Pee Episode #0139 “Summer Safety”

It’s an all boys event on this episode of IBWIP. Jason and Blake welcome back Brett Conlin into the studio to co-host as well as perform a song. We also spin tunes from Billy Cook, 7 Horses, Sleeping Orchard, Clint Darnell, and The Bootstrap String Duo.

Summer is upon us and we thought it would be great to have safety expert Carmella Fettuccini back on the program. She talks about hydration, sand in your junk, and what SPF sun screen to use. We also play a couple brand new games on the show including IBWIP Speakeasy and Punch It Up. Brett reads some news stories about a taxi driver with tickets to the World Cup and a dieing Beagles bucket list.

We have a baby announcement and Blake talks about him and Mollz going camping after the wedding. During the story Blake becomes increasingly paranoid and jumpy, afraid of who or what could be behind him. Brett shows us his talents as impersonating an Irish pirate and Jason opens up about why Nurse Courtney hasn’t been on the show.

We are pleased to welcome Matt Woods to the dirty stalls of IBWIP. Matt has a new album out called “With Love From Brushy Mountain” and he is here to talk about it.  We also talk about songwriting, life as a traveling musician, and what drives him as an artist. I ask him about his duet with Adam Lee called, “Bass and Trouble”, his plans for the summer of 2014, and much more. We also spin two tracks from the new album including Dead Man’s Blues.

Off the Mark Episode #0220

Why shouldn’t you tape 7 weeks of programming?  Take note TNA.  We also discuss Evan Bourne and other thoughts on him.   On WWE programming this week, Payback becomes nothing more than an improved Raw and Evolution/Shield almost cause the show to go over; match of the night.  Daniel Bryan continues his storyline and Stephanie takes a shot at CM Punk.  On Impact Wrestling this week, MVP orders Eddie and Davey to wrestle reach other and then both get beat up by Kenny King.  The loser leaves TNA match does not happen and we discuss the Ken Anderson/James Storm feud.  As always be sure to follow the show @OfftheMark86, Andrew Hughes @ahughes86, and Aaron Hughes @aphughes.
