In the Enchanted Forest, pre-first curse, Snow White and Charming ride back to their castle after their honeymoon to discover everyone in town has been struck by a sleeping spell. They call out for Regina, only to have Maleficent appear to admit the spell was her doing. Mary Margaret has a nightmare wherein Maleficent threatens her family; she wakes and finds David sitting on the stairs drinking whiskey, struggling to sleep with the new villains in town. They attempt to come up with a plan to make the Queens leave Storybrooke before their secret is revealed. The following morning at Granny’s diner, Cruella and Ursula remind others of Regina’s formerly wicked ways in front of Henry, prompting Regina to threaten them with expulsion from town. He then presents Belle with a glove that can detect the weakness in a person. With Ingrid now dead, Elsa brings down the ice barrier, but Emma Swan knows that the spell is still in effect as she touches the barrier that is along the town limits. Anna then tells Elsa that they really need to leave Storybrooke: she tells her sister that Arendelle was taken over by Hans and his 12 brothers, so they ask Emma to help find a portal. Outside of the forest of Arendelle, Ingrid races off to find a place for the box containing the Sorcerer’s Hat, freezing it over hiding it under a rock. Then, she heads to the Enchanted Forest to visit the Apprentice’s cabin, and offers to make a deal with him: she’ll return the box in exchange for the Sorcerer finding her a perfect match for a third sister she wants. In the forest, Emma, whose powers are still out of control, wakes up from her vehicle and finds Henry standing there, telling his mother that everyone was looking for her. But as he tried to approach Emma, she accidentally pushes him away with her magic, resulting in Henry’s ear being cut. In Arendelle, Ingrid, Helga, and Gerda are chasing a kite that later hits a tree. After they pull it down, the kite’s owner arrives, but instead of thanking them attempts to kidnap them. After being kicked by the kite owner, Ingrid unleashes her power and freezes a tree, causing a branch to break off and fall on the kite owner, killing him. The Snow Queen/ Ingrid has set up shop in the clock tower, and conjures up her mirror for her latest plot. At the sheriff’s station, Emma Swan tests out a spell with Elsa that they can use on Ingrid. Emma later visits a “Mommy & Me” class to see Mary Margaret along with Ashley and Aurora.
