Off the Mark Episode #0288

A wrestler gets suspended for 30 days and we go over the REAL reason GFW invaded TNA.  On WWE programming this week, we talk about the Rollins and Kane feud.  We then go over the Wyatts and Reigns/Ambrose feud.  We also discuss our thoughts on the Ziggler/Rusev program.  On TNA programming this week, we discuss most of the matches on the Bound for Glory card.  As a reminder, Bound for Glory is this Sunday on PPV.  As always be sure to follow the show @OfftheMark86, Andrew Hughes @ahughes86, and Aaron Hughes @aphughes. The Song: Inside and Out Episode #0011 “Husk”

I think this was one of the funnest interviews I have done in a long time. I also found out very quickly that I didn’t do enough research for this interview. Michael Rank has been played many times on IBWIP but this was my first chance to talk to him. In this episode we talk about his song “Husk” from his brand new album “Horsehair” that was released on September 22nd. We also talk about songwriting, goats, and his the difference from being an independent artist vs. being with a label. This is where I wasn’t educated… Michael was in a band called Snatches of Pink in the mid 80’s. Michael talks a little about that experience as well as provides us with the track “Rocks” which we play at the end of the interview. We had a great time and hope you have as much fun learning about Michael as we did.

The Song: Inside and Out Episode #0010 “East End Blvd”

Rusty Knuckles recording artist Husky Burnette comes on the show to talk about re-issuing his latest album, “Tales From East End Blvd” which will feature 4 bonus tracks. During the interview we chat about his song, “East End Blvd” as well as a new album he will be releasing later this year. We also talk about writing songs in the Blues genre, his songwriting process, and of course guitars. We also talk about how he got into playing guitar and his experiences in the recording studio with each album.
