Back in The Enchanted Forest in the past year, the characters are walking through the forest. Although Regina is still missing Henry, she also starts thinking a lot about the tunnels that run under the castle, which is interrupted by the arrival of a flying monkey that was sent by Zelena, who is planning to attack Regina. In Storybrooke, Emma Swan and Captain Hook visit a very pregnant Mary Margaret and David at their home. Since everyone in town can not remember the previous year or how they came back to Storybrooke, Hook tells Mary Margaret he was with them for a short while in the Enchanted Forest the year before, then he left. Emma angrily rebuffs him, despite using her superpower to prove he isn’t lying. Hook passes her a note stating that it’s an address where she will find her answers. Storybrooke characters arrive back in the Enchanted Forest due to the curse and are met by Prince Phillip and a pregnant Princess Aurora. After catching up, Snow, Charming and Regina decide to make for Regina’s castle since she protected it prior to the curse. At the well, Pan (who still occupies Henry’s body) and Felix are talking about casting the Curse, as Pan drops the ingredients he took from Regina’s vault in the well. He takes the final element needed to enact it, which was Felix’s heart, because of his loyalty to Pan. As the Curse prepares to take place within hours, Snow White and Prince Charming tell the Blue Fairy that they are worried about the Curse. The Fairy tells them that there was nothing she can do except try to save the baby and that someday everything will be okay; someday. As the individuals return from Neverland in their triumphant rescue of Henry, we also discover that Ariel has reunited with Prince Eric, working as a fisherman, and hugs her. Mayor Regina Mills begins to feel the emptiness in her position of power of controlling the town, and the only way to fill that void is to adopt a child, but she realizes that she’ll have to wait a long time due to the possibility of being placed on a waiting list, so she (as predicted in the pre-curse) turns to Mr. Gold for help, but he then cautions her that when she becomes a parent, she should consider that she will be putting a child first. As Emma, Neal, and Regina try to keep Henry alive after a brutal attack by Peter Pan via a scar that was cut from Emma’s sword, Regina tries to get Emma to understand that Henry may call them both ‘Mom,’ but Emma has more in her life to lean on, while Regina has only Henry. They realize that Pan will only be defeated if they all work together to hunt him down and kill him, a move that gives Emma an idea. In a local tavern yard, a young boy, who is revealed to be a young Rumpelstiltskin, begs a man not to hurt his father Malcolm, who is a 3-card monte cheat. Later on, Malcolm brings Rumpelstiltskin to a cabin and asks the women spinning wool to look after him as he attempts to get a real job. Before he goes, he gives his son the corn husk doll as a present. As Emma Swan, Neal, Hook, David, Tinker Bell, and Mary Margaret walk through the forest towards Pan’s camp, Emma confronts Mary Margaret about staying behind with David, which made Emma concerned that she will once again be separated from her family. As Regina and Gold emerged from another location, the reunion does not go smoothly as Neal tells everyone involved that Gold was planning to kill Henry because of a prophecy.
